Check Point Announces Strong Q2 Results and New CEO Appointment

On July 24, 2024, Check Point Software Technologies reported robust financial results for the second quarter that ended June 30, 2024, alongside the appointment of Nadav Zafrir as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. The company's total revenues reached $627 million, marking a 7 percent increase year over year. Security subscription revenues grew by 14 percent to $272 million. 

Both GAAP and non-GAAP operating incomes were substantial, standing at $209 million and $265 million, respectively. GAAP EPS was reported at $1.74, and non-GAAP EPS rose to $2.17. The company's success was highlighted by its AI-driven Infinity Platform, which saw significant growth and notable deals with Fortune Global 500 firms.

Nadav Zafrir, who will assume the CEO role in December 2024, brings extensive experience from his tenure as Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Team8 and his leadership in the cybersecurity field. Zafrir's background includes leadership roles at Digital Domain, Microsoft Azure Media, and 20th Century Fox Film Corp., along with a notable career in the IDF. His appointment is expected to propel Check Point’s next phase of growth, with current CEO Gil Shwed transitioning to Executive Chairman.
