Intel Appoints Naga Chandrasekaran as COO

The Foundry Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization of Intel Corporation has appointed Naga Chandrasekaran as the Chief Global Operations Officer, Executive Vice President, and General Manager. Chandrasekaran, who officially joined Intel on August 12, brings over 20 years of experience from Micron Technology, where he held several senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President for Technology Development. He will report directly to CEO Pat Gelsinger and will oversee Intel Foundry’s worldwide manufacturing operations, including strategic planning and corporate quality assurance.

Chandrasekaran succeeds Keyvan Esfarjani, who is retiring after nearly 30 years at Intel. His extensive background in semiconductor manufacturing and technology development is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Intel's goal of creating a resilient semiconductor supply chain and becoming a leading systems foundry for the AI era. With a robust educational foundation, including multiple degrees in mechanical engineering and information and data science, Chandrasekaran's leadership is anticipated to accelerate Intel's progress in the evolving semiconductor landscape.
